2020 is the the year of challenges, resilience, community support, and finding purpose in the midst of confusion. Please join our family in our effort to raise awareness and support Grace Market Place while giving each of you an opportunity to start an orchid collection, a butterfly garden, or vermicomposting at a nominal cost. You’ll connect with your neighbors, learn something new, feel the personal reward of supporting a worthy cause. Join our fun fundraising event on Saturday September 5 from 9 am to 10 am in my backyard on Lot #70. Please wear a mask. Contact webmaster if you have any questions.
Pay $10 (cash only) for any single item discussed below. Additional donations welcome, of course. Our family will match the proceeds (up to $400) and donate them on behalf of the Garison Way Community and guests to Grace Market Place.
What you’ll get for $10 – a division of orchids you don’t find at your local stores, some awarded by the American Orchid Society, acclimated and thriving in Garison Way; a bromeliad; a butterfly or humming bird attractor plant- seedlings and mature plants. They are all looking for budding or seasoned gardeners. What about your very own red wiggler worms composting bin with worms in it? Two of our young residents may join us to make you your very own mini composting house to take home and teach you how to take care of it.
Help us make this event meaningful for all the people who depend on Grace Market Place and Grace’s mission to end homelessness in Gainesville. https://www.gracemarketplace.org
