On Wednesday July 22, Bosshardt informed the Board of an equipment failure at the pool and forwarded a proposal for the Board to authorize equipment replacement at a cost of $1,550.The same day, the Board directed Bosshard to close the pool, lock access gate, and informed Bosshardt that the pump and variable speed drive were reportedly installed under the prior Board in mid to late 2019. The Board requested copies of the purchase order and warranty and an evaluation by the equipment representative. On Thursday, our pool maintenance vendor contacted the equipment representative to jointly evaluate the damage. The Board was informed the same day that a new drive was been shipped and would be provided under warranty at no cost for the equipment. The Association will only pay for a small labor charge.
Good and effective communications between the Board, its agents and suppliers were successful and benefited all of us by controlling expenses. It is expected that Bosshardt will re-open the pool upon completion of the equipment replacement and testing of the pool in the middle of next week.
