Some people have good neighbors, I have the good fortune to have absolutely wonderful neighbors! I know my immediate neighbors well and I’ve met others in further parts of Garison Way recently through my involvement with the Association. In my immediate cluster, we know each other by name, we talk, we share, we watch out for each others. Judi keeps my orchids and bromeliads from freezing when I leave the country for a few days in the middle of a cold spell. James edges my yard when my edger is out of service. Sanjeev lets me air-layer his beautiful meyer lemon and kumquat trees and forage his incredible edible yard. John and Patty introduce me to pickle ball. Maryann drops off warm muffins. Dawn loans me her live trap to catch that pesky armadillo digging my backyard and burrowing under Judi’s house. We swap plants, share plumbers names, exchange phone numbers, compare and share u-pick blueberry harvest…Let’s remember the pleasure and rewards of having and being a good neighbor!
